Church of England Primary School

Small school, big hearts. Nurturing outstanding learning.

We have had a very busy day, the children enjoyed watching the Emoji Movie on the coach. We arrived in Dorchester at 12pm and had lunch in the corn exchange. Simon, from Hooke Court, met us there and took us on a tour of some Roman Ruins the children enjoyed learning about the hypocaust (under floor heating) and seeing some mosaic tiles. After that, we went to Maiden Castle, it was very cold but the children enjoyed pretending to be Roman soldier invading the castle. We arrived at Hooke court at 5pm, we have successfully made beds and are now enjoying our first meal of Spaghetti Bolognese. This evening our activity will be learning about roman soldiers - pictures will follow tomorrow!
