Beech class had a fantastic day at Millets Farm viewing all different types of birds. We had a guided tour around the falconry, two flying demonstrations and a handling session. Although some of the children were nervous to begin with, they (along with the adults) showed great courage when handling the owls. During the flying demonstrations, the children really enjoyed seeing the owls swoop very low! The staff at the owl falconry were very impressed with the children throughout the day. Well done children!!
Tristan being chased by an owl!!
Tristan very kindly volunteered to feed one of the owls. Little did he know, this involved running away as fast as he could whilst holding a toy pheasant!
