Zoolab- As part of our topic, we loved meeting different creatures and learning about how to care for them.
Shrove Tuesday- We enjoyed reading pancake stories, designing and making pancakes, running pancake races and eating delicious pancakes as part of our Pancake Day celebrations!
Term 3 2019-2020
PE- We enjoyed kicking, throwing, rolling, bouncing and catching the balls in PE.
Life Education Bus- We enjoyed meeting Harold the Giraffe and learning about 'Healthy Choices'.
Sewing- Big Acorns enjoyed sewing felt grass onto the whole school wall hanging.
Term 2 2019-2020
Cooking- We enjoyed making mince pies together as part of our Christmas celebrations.
Mystery Reader- We have enjoyed our visits from different Mystery Readers who have shared their favourite stories with us all.
Science Afternoon- We enjoyed exploring our senses and shared the activities with our grown-ups.
Mosque Visit- Big Acorns enjoyed visiting the Mosque and learning about how it is a special place.
PE- Big Acorns enjoyed safely exploring the climbing and balancing equipment.
Book Fair- Big and Little Acorns enjoyed visiting the book fair and exploring different books.
Computer Buddies- Big Acorns enjoyed working with the Oak children to make a firework picture on the computers.
PE- Big Acorns enjoyed moving safely in different ways during PE.
Road Safety- When walking through the village, Big Acorns remembered the importance of being safe and reminded each other to "STOP! LOOK! LISTEN! LIVE!"
Diwali- We all enjoyed learning about how Diwali is celebrated and made our own diva lamp.
Term 1 2019-2020
Outdoor Learning- Big Acorns enjoyed getting very muddy during outdoor learning.
Wellbeing- Big Acorns enjoyed a 'kindness' themed wellbeing session. We joined in with some breathing, stretching, massage, relaxation and meditation activities.
Oxford Science Centre - Big Acorns visited the Oxford Science Centre for our first school trip. We enjoyed the exploration zone activities, 'Wow to wonder' show and going on a colour and bug hunt in the woods. The children also loved their journey on the coach!
Harvest Scarecrow- Little Acorns read the story 'The Scarecrow's wedding' and worked together to make a scarecrow. The children decided to call him Donald!
Messy Play- Little Acorns have enjoyed messy play activities and exploring jelly, mud, goop and water play!
Book Time- Acorn class visited the school library.
Outdoor Learning- Little Acorns enjoyed going to outdoor learning and exploring the allotments.
Sound Walk- Big Acorns put on their listening ears and went on a sound walk around school.
Mystery Reader- Ms Warren was our mystery reader and shared one of her favourite stories with us.
Tour of the school- Little Acorns went on the tour of the school. We visited the other classrooms, office, and even Ms Warren's office!
