Big Acorns- Today we are going to be continuing our work on sharing an amount. You could use sweets, counters, pieces of fruit or pasta. To share an amount we have to remember the phrase '1 for you and 1 for me and 1 for you....'
Follow the link below to see a video of Miss Hatton sharing an amount.
You could use different bowls or plates to help you to share. Remember if you are sharing an amount then it must always be fair!
Little Acorns- Today we are going to be matching numbers to amounts by playing the game 'Roll a Tower'. Remember to count carefully!
How to play:
Take it in turns to roll a dice and count the number of spots on the dice e.g. 4
Build a tower using the matching number of bricks. e.g. 4
You could make it trickier by rolling 2 or 3 dice and counting all of the spots and building a matching tower.
Who can build a tower of 20 bricks the quickest?
Challenge: Whose tower has more/ less?
