Church of England Primary School

Small school, big hearts. Wise, Responsible and Kind like the Good Samaritan.

Good morning!!

I hope you had a great Easter holiday.

Our learning this term will be slightly different to last term. You will have the English (Writing/Reading) & Maths activities put onto the website daily like last term. However, the Topic lessons will be put on the Oak class page from the beginning of the week. You can do these activities in any order, on any day. I want you to have the creativity and choice - just like you do in the classroom.

Please email me if you get stuck (or want to show me your completed work) on any of the activities. My email address is

Y6's, Ms Warren has written a letter on the Oak class page for you to read so please have a look. Also, we are introducing Microsoft Teams this term. It is another way for us to interact online. I will post something later today for you to reply to you. Your parents will have all the login details. We are hoping to introduce live interactions once everyone feels comfortable using it.

It will feel very strange not seeing you...again!

Have a good day and take care.

Mr Stevens

This term in English, our key book will be Treason by Berlie Doherty. It is a book based on the Tudor era. We will develop our knowledge and understanding throughout this term and next term about the Tudors.

In English this term, we will be writing a diary entry as well as a piece of persuasive writing based on the Treason book. If possible, please purchase the book or speak to the office as we have bought some books which can be collected from the parent shelter.

Our focus in Maths this week will first be 3D shapes and then Statistics. At the beginning of the week, we will identify, describe and find out the nets of 3D shapes. At the end of the week, we will compare and interpret pie charts.
