Church of England Primary School

Small school, big hearts. Wise, Responsible and Kind like the Good Samaritan.

Good morning children,

I hope you had a great weekend at home and managed to spend lots of time outside. The weather has been very nice. I managed to start and finish an autobiography in the garden.

A new set of activities our now on the Topic section - it's titled Project Week 27th April - 1st May on the Oak class page along with the daily English and Maths activities. For those of you that like really to develop your skills outside of the classroom, I have a list of 50 activities that you can learn or develop during this time at home. These range from changing a bike tyre to mowing the lawn. I really like the phrased "Going to school is what you do not who you are". You can find this on the project week page.

Please contact me on Teams or email me ( if you get stuck. You can of course post your query on Teams for your friends to answer. You may want to help your friends and answer their questions.

Enjoy the day and take care

Mr Stevens

In Reading, we are carrying on with our key text for this term, Treason. It has nice to hear lots of you emailing not only to say you have the book but that you also are really enjoying it.

In Writing, it is day 2 of our diary writing. Tomorrow will be the last day to finish the diary entries before submitting them on Teams. If you finish by the end of today, use the greater depth example from the PowerPoint to compare yours to. Does yours have the same quality as that one?

In Maths, we are still focusing on statistics. Today, we will be reading data from bar charts. If you finish quickly, you may want to answer more questions from the main activity sheet on the PowerPoint.
