Phonics

Little Acorns- Please sing the alphabet song with your adults or older siblings. Then complete alphabet puzzles or explore letters that you have at home e.g. foam bath letters/ magnetic letters.

Which letters have you seen before?
Can you find the letters in your name?
Can you find the letter at the start of the word.....cat/ tap/ mum/ dad?

Big Acorns- We need to recap all the sounds that we have learnt in phonics so far, including the digraphs! You can choose any of the activities below to complete:

Go through the letters as quickly as possible- saying each sound carefully (You can use the sound mat above or the one in your home learning pack. Alternatively, if you have a set of the Read, Write inc. flashcards you can use them too).
Ask an adult/ older sibling to hide each letter around the house/ garden. Go on a phonics hunt, saying each letter sound that you find.
