Church of England Primary School

Small school, big hearts. Wise, Responsible and Kind like the Good Samaritan.

For circle time this week, we are thinking about change and how we might be feeling about returning to school in September. The children have an opportunity to write a letter to Mrs Rossie to ask her questions and share what they are looking forward to and any worries they might have.

For PE as always I would like you to try and be active everyday! This could be going on a bike ride, playing some team games with your family, going for a walk or taking part in Joe Wicks PE lessons every morning!  Also have some lessons that you could try too.

This term, we will be continuing with coding. You can continue to use the

and try out year 2 unit 2b.

Or there is scratch junior that can be downloaded onto a tablet. The children have used this in school. Can you create an island with some treasure that moves or disappears?

If you are still unsure on how to use scratch, check out the videos on the video cente.

Here is an investigation that shows germination. In this investigation we have used a bean. I wonder if other seeds would work too?
This week, we are comparing Victorian seaside holidays to seaside holidays now.
Here is a DT evaluation form to complete about your island. What did you think was good about your island? What problems did you have? What would you do differently next time?
Each week, Mrs Bunting will update the Charanga website so that you have a new lesson to follow.
