Church of England Primary School

Small school, big hearts. Wise, Responsible and Kind like the Good Samaritan.

Good morning!

I hope that you enjoyed your day yesterday and did some great work!

I had some lovely photos that are on the main class webpage. If you would like to send me some today, I would love to see what you have been up to and we can share them on the website too!

Today we have a phonic activity for year 1 and a grammar activity for year 2.

In English, we are going to be reading part of the story and describing the witch.

For Maths, we are using scales to measure weights. This will be a computer activity.

In Reading there is some comprehension to do today.

PE is all about keeping active!

The same as yesterday, I have put individual PowerPoint and then a black and white one at the bottom.

Happy learning! I hope to hear from you today.

Here are two videos. One is of all the sounds and their pictures. The other is of just the sounds.

Can you read all the sounds as quickly as you can. Then choose 3 of the sounds you found tricky and write as many words as you can for those sounds.
Once you have done that, can you sort your words into real and alien words?
Challenge: Can you write a sentence for 3 of your real words?

In the English PowerPoint I have added voice recordings of the part of story being told that we are using today. I will add voice recordings each day until we have finished the story.

I have also attached the whole story in case you would like to read it together.
