As well as doing the reading sessions in the morning, it's vitally important that you continue to read a book for pleasure in your own time. Above are a set of activities to develop your reading skills.
Please do as much PE as possible this week. It is important we stay fit and healthy during this time. It was so nice to see lots of your pictures from Sports Day. Below are a list of activities which you could try:
Joe Wicks: https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1/videos
Yoga with Adriene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF7O6-QabIo
Dancing with Oti Mabuse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHahd8rQ0hg
You may also want to play some games in the garden (Tennis, Cricket, Rounders), go for a run where you live or go on a bike ride. The list is endless!
Sir Walter Raleigh, a famous person from the Tudor era, was a man who liked to explore the world. For the last few weeks of term, we are going to find out about different countries in North and South America that Raleigh may or may not have visited. This week's focus is on North America. You will locate North American countries (and capital cities) on a map, find out about the continent's population and climate and design a fact sheet about a country from this region.
In History, our focus changes to Henry VIII's son, Edward II. This week, you will find out more about Edward II. You will also find out about Edward's protectors and understand how religion changed in England during Edward's reign. Some of you may already have an impression of Edward II from our reading of Treason.
The focus for this week is Spreadsheets. You will need Excel on your computer/tablet to support your learning. By the end of the lesson, you should be able to create a formula to solve a problem, replicate formulas over several cells and interpret the data.
Mrs Bunting has another fun activity for you to try in French
Mrs Bunting will add Music activities onto the Charanga website each week.
