On Wednesday 4th March, the winning pairs from Beech, Sycamore and Oak went to the Cambrian Learning Trust Science Fair final, held at The Elms school. The children each had the chance to present their own experiments to the panel of three judges and did an excellent job of answering questions and demonstrating their scientific knowledge. They also enjoyed different experiments led by students from FCC, as well as made an air vortex from a paper cup and balloon! All the children did fantastically well but special mention goes to Bertie and Axel from Oak class who came away with first place in the Year 5/6 competition for their experiment demonstrating the effect of UV light on bananas!
