School Development Plan (SDP)

Every year, we use our school self-evaluation to help identify the priorities for school development during the coming year. These are organised into 6 key areas:

  • Inclusion

  • Curriculum and teaching

  • Achievement

  • Attendance and behaviour

  • Personal development and well-being

  • Leadership and governance 

All objectives are linked to our Christian distinctiveness because we know that it is by living our vision that the objectives are fulfilled.

The aims of our plan for this year are built on the following premises:

1.) High-Quality Teaching and Learning

Ensuring consistency, clarity and progression in pedagogy (e.g. WalkThrus, Maths mastery, provision in KS1).

Strengthening staff roles and professional practice to maximise impact in the classroom.

2.) Inclusive and holistic pupil development

Meeting the needs of all learners, including SEND (Norfolk Assessment Pathway, Nurture space).

Promoting well-being, resilience and personal growth (Character Awards, OPAL Play, Rights Respecting Schools).

3.) School culture and capacity for growth

Embedding values of respect, responsibility, and participation (Rights Respecting Gold).

Building sustainable systems and structures (new teaching/admin roles, leadership of initiatives) to secure long-term improvement.

In 2025–26 our priorities are:

1. Inclusion

   Implement the Norfolk Assessment Pathway (NAP) for SEND.

   Establish and enhance our Nurture Space provision.

2. Curriculum and Teaching

   Strengthen and secure high-quality provision in Key Stage 1.

   Introduce and integrate the use of WalkThrus to support staff's continuous professional development. 

3. Achievement

   Embed a consistent, high-quality maths mastery approach across the school.

4. Attendance and Behaviour

   Implement and sustain the OPAL Play Scheme.

5. Personal development and well-being

   Introduce and embed the Character Awards programme.

   Achieve the Rights Respecting Schools Gold Award.

6. Leadership and Governance

   Carefully manage transitions in teaching and administrative roles.
