Oak class had a fantastic Pitt Rivers trip. It provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to enhance their knowledge of Benin life. The class were provided with opportunities to consider the size and diversity of Africa, and the ways in which power and status can be communicated. We were taken on an interactive tour of objects from different African countries around the museum, which included some object handling. To finish with, we searched the museum for objects from different African countries.
