On Tuesday the 20th of February, we visited the Ashmolean museum in Oxford to take part in a workshop about China. We explored Chinese history (including the Shang Dynasty which we will be learning more about this term); culture; art and language. The children really enjoyed exploring what life was like alongside the Yellow River; the earliest recorded Chinese writing on Oracle bones; the Coromandel screen; as well as handling artefacts to find evidence of their use. It was an engaging, fun and interesting morning!
