At Buckland School we have four classes called Acorns, Beech, Sycamore and Oak. Each of our classes holds two year groupings. This means that children spend two years with the same teacher, allowing them to develop effective relationships with a member of staff who knows their strengths and weaknesses well. Our older children are encouraged to support their younger colleagues. This allows them to be in the position of role model, a challenge which they rise to. A high expectation is demonstrated and the opportunity to articulate learning assists deeper understanding. Staff differentiate activities to meet the needs of each year group and levels of ability within the age range.
