Sycamore have had a fantastic day out at Hill End Outdoor Centre - it was lovely to go on a trip together with the whole school - we have all been very busy. Sycamore started with orienteering where they quickly found lots of stations, they worked well together as teams and even found ones that weren't on the map! Following this, we did a challenge trail where they worked in pairs and had to lead their blindfolded partner around an obstacle course - lots of communication skills needed. Other parts of the challenge trail included a clmbing wall and trying to get eachother through a spider's web without touching the web. After that, we enjoyed our lunch and had a play and then went to the top of the site to do some den builing in the ancient woods there. Once they had finished this, we did some pond dipping and found lots of different pond creatures. We had a wonderful day together and were really lucky with the weather - not too hot, not raining - just right.
