Year 3 have been busy measuring dinosaurs in the playground! Armed with chalk, metre sticks and the length and height of different dinosaurs, they spent part of the morning measuring out, amongst others, Tyrannosaurus Rex - Height: 6m and Length: 12.5 m; Tricerotops - Height: 3.5m and Length: 9m. They were very surprised at the sheer size of a Diplodocus - Height: 5m and Length: 27m. They started by Oak's classroom and measured all the way down to the lower field where they ran out of space at 24 metres - a huge dinosaur indeed!
