In art we are currently studying the artist Jeannie Baker's work - this is linked to our English work on her book Belonging. Jeannie Baker creates word less books using collage to create pictures. She has also written a book about collage called: 'Playing with Collage'. We have felt inspired by her ideas - she wrote: ' I've created this book to inspire you to look more closely at the world, too. I hope it will help you to discover secret gems and nuggets of your own to put into your collages - and see things that have always been there, but which you might never have noticed before.' So we have done just that! The children went on a hunt for natural materials and have created some lovely, creative collages.
