Buckland

Church of England Primary School

Small school, big hearts. Wise, Responsible and Kind like the Good Samaritan.

Oak class have had a great start to their residential week.

After arriving at Woodlands, the children took all their items into their bedrooms and started to unpack. Lots of teamwork on show, in particular with bed sheets!

With their loaned kit sorted for the week, they were straight into groups. Here, they were problem solving a range of activities. Loads of children encouraging their friends and working as a team to solve the activities. The children looked out for each other and ensured all were involved in the thought process.

After dinner, we went for a night walk around our site. This included walking up a steep hill and viewing the night sky.

Even though it was the first night, the children did manage to settle late in the evening and have some well earned rest. Lots of children exhausted from the days fun!

I have been impressed with the leadership shown and hope this continues.

Photos will be added throughout the week for each day's activities.
